Very gross place, honestly go down the street to the McDonald's or the village inn by the Walmart and save yourself some money and headache. I absolutely hate this place, not a friendly staff the food is gross the atmosphere is cheap. Gross!

I have had many meetings here, goodness knows why... The food is consistently terrible, as is the service.

The staff is friendly, but the service is terrible. I waited forever for every step of the dinner service. When I ordered a margarita, they disappeared for about ten minutes and the came back to tell me that they were out of the mix and it would be a while to mix more. And they claim margaritas are their speciality. It took forever to get the chips and salsa, forever to get the food, forever to get the bill, etc. With that being said, the food was pretty good, and was also inexpensive. And the location is quite convenient if you are staying in one of the nearby hotels. Even still, I will think twice before coming back

There are a few key elements in descriptive dining reviews-the food, and the service. Service-I have been here twice, and the service is horrid beyond belief-time changes while they finally reach your table, very few servers in a large establishment. and no one seems to know their roles and responsibilities. We made one mistake-we should have ordered our dinners with our drinks as we did not see our server for a very long time. You also won't believe this-we ordered margs, and wanted another round, but they ran out of tequila (in a Mexican place, wow) Food-fantastic, flavorful, great portions, and extremely good green chili right up there with any place in Colorado. If Felisa's could pull together good service, with their excellent food, they would be the best in town. But, La Junta, is a small town.

Execllent food and super fast & friendly service. Owner waited on us. Had great restaurant stories. For those who gave this place only one star, next time go to Taco Bell.

Luckily this restaurant has very interesting decor since we had to play one of the most epic games of I-Spy while waiting a very, very long time for our food to arrive. The food was fine and everyone ate their dinner, but nothing spectacular.

Not sure how the food is because we ordered and waited an hour before we finally left. 40 minutes into it the waitress walked by and said our dope was in its way out. We never saw her again.

Excellent, authentic, family owned, Mexican food!!! This is the best Mexican food that you can get in La Junta, Colorado. Would recommend to anyone! I travel for work and I spend a few days of every week in La Junta. Without fail, I make sure to have at least one meal at Felisa's and I've never been disappointed. You can see the family history in the restaurant and you can tell they are passionate about their food. A++

So so menu , kind of limited as compared to most Mexican restaurants. Food was spicy and tasted OK but not too hot. Decor was like somebody's kitchen without too much ambience. Prices were reasonable for the quality of the food . I would not go there again.

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their food! Everything is homemade and they have a nice blend of hot and mild. It's also refreshing to see an authentic mexican food restaurant not using black pepper to compensate for the lack of flavor. Felisa's is family owned and operated and I am thrilled they are here!!!

Wow. Ummmm. Wow. When we pulled into town I joked with my wife that we should check Yelp before dinner. I didn't expect many reviews in a small town like La Junta. Had I been serious, I might have been warned way. Nearly everything negative I read here was exactly like our experience, except we never gave them a chance to run out of tequila. I ordered a #4, Carne Amanda and my wife the #8 enchiladas, both from waitress A. They brought us a #1 combination and a #8. After going back into the kitchen, waitress B explained that waitress A's handwriting was poor, and the cook saw a #1. "Do you still want the Carne?" Um...sure? While my wife *enjoyed her enchiladas made from what seemed to be canned chicken, I worked my way through the second bowl of chips and finished off my water. If I had known that was the last water I would see, I might have rationed. Sometime much later this evening waitress A brought me my Carne. I would say it had the consistency and flavor of a boot. But not a new boot. A boot someone lost in the back of the freezer for a few months, defrosted, refroze, accidentally defrosted a second time, and then cut thick and served slowly. I ate through about half of it, declared bankruptcy, and asked for the check. There was another wait while I stood at the register. Waitress A came over with a sigh and a mild swear under her breath. I actually felt bad for trying to pay. I love cheap, greasy Mexican food, and don't consider myself picky. I'll enjoy a Doritos Locos taco from time to time. But eat at Village in. Or I think the WalMart might have a snack bar. But you might want to skip Felisa's.

This is the worst place I've ever been to! The food is awful and the service is even worse. The owner is crazy and doesn't know how to run a business. My experience is: I entered the restaurant and sat at a table (no one greeted me at the door). After sitting there for about 5 minutes, I flagged down a waitress who was near my table resetting another table. She asked me what I wanted and I said, "A menu and a glass of white wine." She returns after 5 minutes with a menu and tells me they don't have any wine. I then order a margarita--she brings it fairly soon--it's ok. I then order a simple quesadilla. After about 10 minutes the owner comes running through the restaurant telling everyone they need to take their food to go because she has to rush off to the hospital because her mother is ill. I am sensitive to that, and ask that I not have to pay full price because I was not able to eat my meal. She and a patron begin to berate me and call me names (high insensitive names that could be considered a federal hate crime). I leave the restaurant without my food (I did not pay for it either). I've traveled the world and NEVER been treated this way in any location--here in the USA, I can't believe there is such hate!!!

Typical Mexican restaurant look and feel. When we visited there were only two waitresses on the floor to both seat and serve. Service was very slow. The chips we were served were stale and the salsa was the consistency of water. My husband ordered a quesadilla. All they had listed on the menu was a plain cheese one so he asked if they could throw on some steak. We ended up paying $5 extra for less than half a cup of the steak. It was also very odd how they served it. Looked like they flopped a tortilla on the plate covered it with cheese and the steak and microwaved it. That was it, didn't fold it up or anything. My son got two tacos and they were so greasy he had drips of the stuff running down his arms. I got a chicken burrito. They used canned chicken! Also our waitress took my husbands glass to get him a refill. She came back 10 minutes later and realized she forgot it. She yelled across the restaurant to the other waitress asking if she had seen a glass of water somewhere! Like really? By far the worst mexican restaurant I have ever seen!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
